Original game board print - published by the Saussine Game company of Paris France. From an amazing warehouse find  - these prints were part of the unused stock for the game company which was to be used in the manufacturing of the games.  Saussine produced a wide variety of games including race games, strategy games, puzzles, card games, questions and answer games, games of skill and shooting, and shadow theatre. They exhibited at the World's Fair in 1878 as an educational and parlor games publisher and the company continued to produce games into the early 1900's. 

This "game board" - is a paper print - actually printed in two pieces , and has been attached/glued together at the center. The

game has a very similar look and feel to the popular CANDY LAND ... which was invented some 50 years AFTER this game was

published.  The details in this are absolutely amazing - and quite humorous.  From chickens running around with forks and knives,

the the children drinking champagne (upper right corner) - there is so much going on - you could look at this for hours.

CONDITION:  Overall Excellent - with some wear at the center where the two pieces were attached.
