#ZLCA147 - Very Rare and Very early Butterfly Brand Red Kidney Beans Can Label
Vintage 11 1/2" wide Olney & Floyd Butterfly Brand Red Kidney Beans label. These go back to the late 1800s and are considered some of the most beautiful labels of any type ever made. They are heavily embossed and gilded with butterflies everywhere. This was a very complicated label to make back in the day as it is stone litho in many colors and each color had to be made on a separate plate. It might have take a craftsmen three or four months to make the plates to produce this label. There is no weight marking on it, which was required by law by around 1906. Labels this old are very very rare and hard to find. Excellent unused condition.
